How does it work?
N-SPEC® cleaning chemicals consist of highly concentrated liquid surfactants, polymers and dispersants designed to penetrate and remove solids such as paraffin, asphaltene, compressor oil deposits and waxes in industrial oil & gas applications. It functions differently compared to traditional cleaning agents. Instead of dissolving contaminants, the N-SPEC chemical mixtures:
- Penetrate between the wall of the pipe and the contaminant;
- Reduce the adhesive forces of the contaminant; and
- Emulsify the contaminant into slurry to make it pumpable so that it can be moved forward with a specially designed pig.
